“The Fibromyalgia Network Journal is the most scientifically sound, most up-to-date, and easiest to understand of ALL of my fibromyalgia sources. I recommend it to my patients and read it carefully myself."

Fibro Complete Multi™ with Malic Acid

It’s a standard multi-vitamin with a tiny amount of malic acid, a compound that is used by the muscles to make energy. One research trial (not by the maker’s of this product) did show that a combination of magnesium with malic acid reduced the muscle pain in people with fibromyalgia. However, the amount of malic acid and magnesium in this product is minuscule compared with the amount that was required in the treatment trial to reduce pain (and it would have to be taken throughout the day). It’s not a bad idea to take a regular multi-vitamin, particularly when you do not always have the time and energy to cook healthy meals. However, there is nothing about this product that is any better than other vitamins you might select ... the difference could be the inflated price!
