Want to know if there is an upcoming patient-focused event in your area? Curious about which scientific symposiums will be covered in future issues of the Fibromyalgia Network Journal? Do you have an educational or awareness event that you would like to publicize on this page? Or, perhaps you are a health care provider who is interested in attending a medical conference on fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue syndrome ... and preferably for CME credit. You have come to the right place!
This page is divided into three event categories: (1) patient-related, (2) research-related, and (3) awareness-related (May 12). The events for each category are in chronological order. As more people submit information for upcoming events, the more useful this page will become for everyone. So, if you have an event you would like to share, please fill out the required information in the last section, Submit Your Event. If you cannot find an event in your area, check back at a later date. Attending conferences on fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) can be both educational and exciting, so Fibromyalgia Network is maintaining this page as a free service to the community.
Patient-Related
Events
The following events are most likely to be of interest to people with fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. In some cases, health care providers may also find them worth attending.
May 12 Fibromyalgia Awareness Day
The Fibromyalgia Network invites you to join in on the awareness activities—on May 12 or any day you feel up to it. The Network's awareness campaign is intended to minimize your time and energy, while getting the public to think about how difficult it must be to have fibromyalgia. The materials are subtle reminders that despite the invisible nature of your illness, it does exist. Whether you are hosting a booth at a health fair, an awareness table at the library, or raising research funds for the American Fibromyalgia Syndrome Association, your efforts do make a difference. Visit our website for awareness items—posters, pins, wristbands, decals, car magnets, and bookmarks.

Research-Related Events
Medical conferences and scientific meetings on fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and related health conditions are listed below. Although many of them may be attended by patients, research-related symposiums are typically expensive and the subject matter very technical. Those conferences that will be covered in the Fibromyalgia Network Journal (perhaps with highlighted tidbits in the eNews Alerts) are underlined. Speaker line-ups are condensed to save space, and a link to the sponsoring organization is provided, if one exists.
